Natura-Mune 2 is used to tonify Qi, Blood, and Jing. Natura-Mune 2 helps strengthen the immune system, especially during seasonal changes. This formula is recommended to be included in a supplement support program when treating chronic deficiency-type imbalances because of its gentle strengthening qualities.

Formula considerations: This formula has a wide margin of safety. As with any Tonic, stop taking it when there are immune compromised indications. Switch to Weather Beater, Attack 1, or Attack 2. Once the symptoms are resolved, resume taking Natura-Mune 2.

Tonify Qi:

The profound healing powers of fungi and mushrooms have been known throughout China for thousands of years. They are considered longevity herbs in Taoist formulas. More recently, there have been extensive clinical studies that have identified many compounds in them that stimulate immune function. Extracts and combinations of Coriolus versicolor, Maitake, and Reishi are carefully made and comprise 44% of the formula. Eleuthero (Wu Jia Shen) and Astragalus [(Zhi) Huang Qi] are also deep-acting (and not very warming) Qi tonics. They increase energy and endurance. In the last 35 years, many studies have shown that, even on its own, Astragalus has strong immuno-stimulating properties. Eleuthero has been used extensively by athletes during training to increase endurance. Cat’s Claw and Pau d’Arcu are two well-known (and studied) South American herbs that have some similar properties.

As a group, Coriolus versicolor, Maitake, Reishi, Cat’s Claw, and Licorice Root clear toxic heat. Usually, herbs that do this are somewhat cold. These 5 herbs are more neutral so they do not adversely affect the digestive system as can be the case with cold herbs. This dual function is quite valuable to help clear, and at the same time restore the Qi, Blood, and Jing. From a naturopathic view, they can also be considered to have liver (organ) and blood detox functions.

Tonify Blood/Jing:

Reishi Mushroom (Ling Zhi) is used in this formula to strengthen the immune system and help protect and detox the liver organ.

Tonify and Regulate Qi:

Citrus Peel (Chen Pi) tonifies the Qi and helps prevent the Spleen and Stomach Qi from stagnating.
